Easy Tips to Repair Computer At Home



Whenever we run into some technical issues with our computers, most of us spend our money on technicians rather than giving a try ourselves. Even though the problems in most cases are not that complex, technicians take the advantage and deprive our money. Here are some simple tips to repair computer at home:

1.       Reinstall the OS: Reinstalling the operating system is the fastest and easiest solution to repair your computer at home if you experience error messages, file corruption. If you had installed Windows yourself, then you can use the Windows installation disc or else you can use CDs or DVDs to restore your system from. Nowadays, computers come with factory restore partitions, which can be accessed by pressing the right key while booting.
Uninstall programs you don’t need: There may be programs in your PC which you used earlier but don’t use it anymore. Uninstall them to free up space so that there won’t any storage issues and your system can work efficiently.
2.       Delete Unnecessary And Duplicate Files: Delete temporary files which get accumulated in your system every time you visit a site for faster page load. Though it is good for faster working of the server, temporary files slow the loading time of applications. In the same way, duplicate files also cause problems. Duplicate files can be tracked in your system with the help of any paid software.
3.       Remove Viruses, Spyware: Use a high quality antivirus for the security of your system. Security scan should be done on a regular basis to ensure smooth functioning of your PC. Do not go for free ant viruses since they are not efficient enough. Also do not use more than one antivirus as it slows down the performance of your system and lead to system crashes. If you are an everyday internet user, then it is a must to install an antivirus and scan it frequently.
4.     Upgrade your RAM or Hard drive: Upgrading RAM has several advantages like fast transfer of data, faster startup and shutdown, advanced GUI. Upgrading a RAM is neither difficult. Hard drive can also be updated for more storage space.
5.       Delete Most Recent System Restore: Free up disk space by removing the most recent restore points. You can do this by clicking on “Clean up”. It may take only a few seconds if you do regular cleaning or may extend to half an hour or longer if it’s been a long time you performed cleanup activities.
